We are seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Developer / Designer to join our team of volunteers and play a vital role in maintaining, enhancing, and expanding our online presence.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update our existing WordPress website, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the website’s functionality and user experience.
- Implement new features and functionalities to improve website usability and meet the growing needs of our ministry.
- Integrate custom themes and plugins to enhance the website’s design and functionality as needed.
- Collaborate with content creators and other volunteers to ensure seamless integration of new content and media elements.
- Work closely with leadership to plan and implement website improvement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in WordPress development and website management.
- Strong experience using Elementor to build and customize responsive layouts.
- Expertise in SEO best practices, including on-page optimization and technical SEO.
- Experience with popular WordPress plugins and themes (e.g., security plugins, SEO plugins, form builders).
- Proven experience with responsive design principles and mobile-friendly development.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Bonus points:
- Experience working in a non-profit or faith-based organization.
- Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working in a non-profit or faith-based organization.
- Strong understanding of full-stack development, including React for frontend and Node.js with database management (SQL/NoSQL) for backend.

Please note that this is a volunteer position that operates remotely, and compensation will not be provided. The expected time commitment is approximately 10-15 hours per month, but we are flexible and can accommodate your availability. Technical Skills: WordPress Development, Elementor Pro, Full Stack Development, React.js, Node.js, PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid). Database & Backend: MySQL, MongoDB, RESTful APIs, Express.js. Optimization & Marketing: Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Google Search Console, GA4, PageSpeed Optimization, Core Web Vitals. Design: UI/UX Design, Responsive Web Design, Figma-to-WordPress.
