We are seeking a spiritually grounded and operationally minded volunteer Prayer Team Lead. In this role, you will serve as the strategic overseer of our prayer platform. You will lead the intercessory teams, drive promotional initiatives for our prayer programs, and manage the logistics of our prayer line. This is a leadership opportunity for a visionary who can ensure our prayer ministry meets people exactly where they are—regardless of their religious disposition—with straightforward, matter-of-fact truth based on Biblical wisdom.
Responsibilities:
- Intercessory Team Leadership: Oversee the team of intercessors responsible for writing personalized prayer responses. Ensure all output provides truth that guides and educates, meeting requesters where they are—whether they are agnostic, struggling with faith, or deeply religious.
- Prayer Oversight & Quality: Maintain responsibility for the tone and alignment of the team’s responses. Ensure the team responds in a way that is accessible, transparent, and appropriate to the individual’s unique spiritual disposition.
- Promotion & Content Strategy: Drive the awareness of our prayer initiatives by creating and overseeing engaging content. This includes:
- Developing content ideas and overseeing the creation of content as well as the posting schedule across all of our social media networks.
- Crafting and coordinating prayer-focused segments for our email newsletters.
- Ensuring a consistent and inviting presence that encourages community participation in our prayer programs.
- Prayer Line Operations: Organize and oversee the prayer line schedule and the volunteer team, ensuring consistent coverage and a welcoming, open environment for all callers.
- Process Management & Optimization: Manage and optimize the digital tools used for prayer flow. Monitor prayer volume and response timing to ensure the ministry remains responsive and efficient.
- Team Development: Identify capacity needs, provide feedback, and offer guidance to volunteers, fostering a culture of compassion, accountability, and radical transparency.
Requirements:
- Experienced Ministry Leader: Background in guiding volunteer groups or managing prayer-focused departments. You possess the ability to mentor a team while ensuring all ministry activities remain anchored in a high standard of spiritual ethics and sincerity.
- Operational Coordinator: Highly organized with a track record of handling logistics, such as shift scheduling and team workflows. You can successfully balance the human side of leadership with the administrative demands of a consistent, 24/7 or high-volume ministry.
- Multi-Channel Familiarity: Experience or comfort with scheduling and creating content for social media and email newsletters.
- Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to meeting people “where they are” and a comfort level engaging with individuals from all spiritual or non-spiritual backgrounds.
- Excellent Discernment: High level of accountability and confidentiality in managing a diverse team and sensitive community needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to coach others in writing straightforward, accessible, and compassionate prayer responses.

- Volunteer Management: Experience recruiting or scheduling volunteers for non-profit or ministry environments.
- Digital Marketing: Experience with social media management tools (like Buffer or Hootsuite) or email platforms (like Mailchimp).
- Content Creation: Basic graphic design (Canva) or copywriting experience for faith-based audiences.
- Marketing/Promotion: Familiarity with digital promotion or community engagement strategies.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to provide gentle, direct feedback to team members regarding tone and alignment.
