  • Assist in the creation of compelling fundraising materials, including grant proposals, sponsorship packages, fundraising appeals, and donor acknowledgment letters, as appropriate.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events for audiences online and offline, including social-media-based fundraising campaigns.  Provide strategic input, identify sponsorship opportunities, and assist with coordinating fundraising activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, tracking progress against established goals and making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
  • Optional: Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors, community partners, and corporate sponsors to foster long-term partnerships and secure financial support.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fundraising, preferably in the non-profit sector, either as a professional or as a volunteer.
  • Previous experience in fundraising with faith-based and secular organizations.
  • Previous experience in online fundraising, in particular using social media.
  • Deep understanding of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices, including donor cultivation, grant writing, corporate sponsorship, and event planning.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills to identify funding opportunities and develop effective fundraising plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to create compelling fundraising materials and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Relationship-building and networking skills to establish and nurture connections with potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using fundraising software, databases, and online platforms to track donor information, manage campaigns, and generate reports.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the community.
  • Availability to dedicate a consistent number of hours per week/month.

Please note that this is a volunteer position that operates remotely, and compensation will not be provided. The expected time commitment is up to 5 hours per week, but we are flexible and can accommodate your availability.
