As an Intercessory Prayer Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our organization’s mission and serving the needs of our community through the power of prayer. You will join a dedicated team of individuals who are committed to interceding on behalf of others and seeking God’s intervention in their lives. Your prayers will provide spiritual support, comfort, and hope to those in need, making a positive impact on their lives and our organization as a whole.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in Intercessory Prayer: Dedicate time to engage in intercessory prayer on behalf of individuals, groups, specific situations, or broader needs identified by the organization or brought to your attention. Most prayer requests will be derived from our prayer wall at www.walkinginstepwithgod.org/prayer. This may involve praying for physical healing, emotional well-being, guidance, provision, reconciliation, and other specific requests.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of prayer requests and personal information shared by individuals seeking prayer. Adhere to the organization’s guidelines for handling sensitive information and ensure that privacy is maintained at all times.
Requirements:
- Passion for prayer and a deep commitment to serving others through intercessory prayer.
- Strong belief in the power of prayer and faith in God’s ability to answer prayers.
- Respect for diverse spiritual backgrounds and a willingness to pray for individuals from various faith traditions or belief systems.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to empathize with others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost care.
- Reliability and commitment to fulfilling assigned prayer requests promptly and consistently.
- Availability to attend team meetings or gatherings as required.
- Respect for the organization’s values and mission.

Please note that this is a volunteer position that operates remotely, and compensation will not be provided.
